当松开高压油管接头时，如果看到有大量气泡或油沫窜出来，则说明针阀已在开启状态被卡死，因而使气缸压缩时产生的压缩气体经喷油器倒流入高压油。此时，若用手触模高压油管，则感觉不到柴油脉动或脉动较弱。若针阀被卡死，由于油中存在颗粒物及喷油器中有残余铁末，将导致该缸喷油器工作或不工作。这时，应对针阀偶件重新进行清洗、装配。
(7)喷油器喷孔的直径大小符合技术要求
如果判明喷油器喷油压力不足为喷孔扩大所致，对于单孔轴针式喷油器，可在孔端放一粒直径4——5mm的钢球，用小锤轻轻敲击，使喷孔局部产生塑性变形而缩小孔径；对于多孔直喷式喷油器，因其孔数多、孔径小，只能用的冲头在孔端轻轻敲击。若装复后仍达不到技术要求，则应更换针阀偶件。
(8)避免柴油机长时间超负荷运转
柴油机应避免长时间超负荷运转，以防机体过热而将喷油器的针阀偶件卡死。对长期封存的柴油机，应将喷油器卸下浸入清洁柴油中，以防针阀腐蚀而不能灵活开闭。
柴油机喷油器的作用是将柴油以较细的雾化颗粒喷射入燃烧室中，与空气形成的可燃混合气。
喷油器安装在气缸盖上，喷油嘴深入柴油机燃烧室内，在高温高压和燃气腐蚀环境下长期工作，内部的运动件又受到高速流动燃油的冲击及燃油中微小机械杂质的反复冲刷，极易磨损和被腐蚀，是柴油机燃油系中出故障多的部件之一。
喷油器雾化
当喷油压力过低，喷孔磨损有积碳，弹簧端面磨损或弹力下降时，都会致使喷油器提前开启，关闭，并形成喷油雾化的现象。
若是单缸柴油机就不能工作;若是多缸柴油机则功率下降，排气冒黑烟，机器运转声也不正常。另外，由于粒径过大的柴油雾滴不能充分燃烧，便顺缸壁流入积油盘，使机油油面，粘度下降，润滑恶化，还可能引起烧瓦拉缸的事故。
解决办法：应将喷油器拆开清洗，检修，重新调试。
喷油器回油管破损
当针阀偶件磨损或针阀体与喷油器壳配合不够严密时，喷油器的回油量就明显增大，有的可达0.1～0.3 kg/h。若回油管破损或漏装，回油就白白流失，造成浪费。
